But my friend wait a minute, big and small web hosting companies do something un-ethical practice and hide few things from you. And this is common even with most popular web hosting companies.

Below are few practice that hosting companies always hide or practice without letting you know:

1)      Block Search Engines though hidden Robots.txt file: Believe me or not but this is 110% hard truth. If you hosted several websites on one shared hosting account, getting good amount of traffic then most probably the hosting company will secretly will put hidden Robots.txt file on every websites. And amazing part is that you won’t find the Robots.txt file when you try to located  it on FTP (website). Read here how to use robots.txt.

Now if you try to contact to the web hosting support team then they will raise their hand and tell you to generate a ticket. This is not going to help you, they will take couple of days and secretly remove the hidden robots.txt file.   The best option would be to not to wait for their support, just upload fresh Robots.txt file and get it fixed in few minutes.

2)      Can send up to 150 email in an hour: During festive season like new year, Xmas we all send greetings mail to our friends, relatives and clients. And if you hosted several websites including your clients and if at any moment it cross beyond 150 mail per hour suddenly a situation will occur where you won’t be able to send any mail.

Now if you contact to customer support, they will give you a link of terms and conditions. If you argue with them then in couple of hours they will activate outgoing mail.

3)      Database Error: Nowadays CMS is getting popularity and we all prefer to host website in top notch CMS like wordpress. If you are a webmaster or seo expert spending good amount of time online only then you can notice that your wordpress site (or any other CMS using mysql database) goes down for 2-10 minutes every month. And as soon you start get worrying, create tickets you will get mail from customer support saying that there is no such issue found. Database is working perfectly.

1. When you sign up for hosting through Bluehost, they provide   provides a $50 google adword credit. But that $ 50 credit is valid  for US  and Canadaian clients only. So if you are from India or Singapore you will not be able to use that 50$ adword coupon.
2. Bluehost do have a limit on file counts . That means if total no. of files goes beyond 200,000 then your account will be suspended. At the same time if total no. of files goes beyond over 50000  they will not back up your files automatically and you need to take backups manually. That means if total no. of files goes beyond 50001 then they will not back up your files, you will have to do it manually.
3. If you website is e-commerce (selling no. of products online) or your website build up in CMS (like WordPress or Joomla) then it might goes down for 30 minutes in every 2-3 months. We already faced this kind of issue. Since Bluehost is a shred hosting service provider, it’s obvious that some time (in every 2-3 months), your website will goes down for 30 min to an hour. Please note that Bluehost do not provide Dedicated or VPS hosting.
